Nominations for 2026 inductions are now open

One of the main mandates of the Yorkton Sports Hall of Fame is to recognize those who have made outstanding contributions to our sporting community or achieved excellence in one or more sports. To do that, we conduct inductions annually in September, and will do that again in 2026.

Residents or groups in Yorkton and area have the opportunity to nominate worthy candidates in one of four categories: athlete, builder, athlete/builder or team. The YSHF itself does not nominate candidates for induction; nominations must come from members of the community who are fully familiar with the nominee and who can provide all relevant information. However, board members are more than willing to assist by providing advice to nominators about the process and the nomination forms.

The nomination package may be downloaded here, or printed copies may be picked up at the city Recreation and Community Services office at the Gallagher Centre.
